Why Evo?

Evo Diagnostics was created to provide patients an easy to use option for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) by sleeping in their own bed. We utilize the latest state-of-the-art technology that has been evaluated to provide clinical results comparable to a cumbersome laboratory hook-up for the specific diagnosis we test for. In tandem with physician screening, there is very high confidence in the results from the medical device that we employ.

We ship this state-of-the-art equipment via UPS to your doorstep. In short, we deliver the laboratory directly to you! Even the sleep specialists that we use to interpret your results conform to the clinical standards of professional sleep labs.
To be sure, there are other home sleep test providers that purport to offer the same convenience relative to a laboratory study performed in a hospital or facility. Evo stands apart not only because we utilize a class of equipment that insurance companies actually prefer to in-laboratory obstructive sleep apnea diagnostics, but because we offer tailored customer service. That is the essential component of the entire diagnostic process that many providers ignore.

You should ask yourself if you are really O.K. with partaking of a clinical diagnostic study without understanding the basics of the process or having someone specifically assigned to you. If you are not, you have only one option. Evo Diagnostics.

Why Test Sleep?

Well over 40% of the adult population report difficulties initiating or maintaining refreshing sleep. There are many reasons for the high rate of poor sleep quality in modern culture, but data also suggest that a significant percentage of those that complain of either insomnia or unrefreshed sleep actually have a common sleep disorder such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). In fact, the rate of individuals thought to have OSA is significantly higher than those that are diagnosed with OSA or those that seek treatment. Moreover, when informed of these facts many individuals assert that they would know if they had symptoms of OSA, which is not the case at all. That mindset is the reason why OSA continues to lurk insidiously in the background as a principle factor that either causes or exacerbates other common clinical disorders such as hypertension and diabetes.
Sleep issues in general, and OSA in particular, are known to invoke mechanisms that actually cause (or contribute) to common heart conditions such as hypertension and arrhythmia as well as common metabolic conditions such as diabetes and obesity.
That's right, we said, hypertension, obesity and diabetes. How can that be, you ask? To learn more, check out the educational sections in our Resources link. In the meantime, be sure to screen for OSA and comply with your physician's request for a study.

When it comes to sleep, you don't know what you don't know. You are, after all, unconscious during the state. Yes, of course we all know how we feel more directly than an outside observer, but we also begin to live with impaired performance and health well before significant clinical impacts are manifest.
